Oh Monday's...

Let's get real. Who in the world loves Mondays?
I sure didn't. 

For a long time I dreaded Mondays.
For me, Monday's meant having to wake up early and 
commuting on a crowded bus for the next 5 days.
It meant having to deal with other grumpy people who were just as unhappy as I was about Mondays.

I dreaded Mondays until I realized it was just like Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and even Saturday and Sunday (the best days of the week). 
They all come every week. And they will keep coming (and going) forever.
It is out of our control.
Our attitudes about it, however, we can control.

About a year ago I decided I was going to change my attitude towards many things in my life.
One of which included my attitude on early mornings and especially on Mondays.
I wanted to make it more enjoyable. 
Something to look forward to rather than dread.

From then on, every Monday morning, I would sit down and take the time to make and enjoy a nice breakfast. Like, REALLY sit down for a good 20-30 minutes and have a real nice breakfast before my morning commute.

Taking the time to sit and enjoy a nice breakfast on a Monday is a great way to start off the week.
It has helped me refocus my attitude on the positives in my life rather than the things I cannot control.


Here is my lovely breakfast on this beautiful Monday morning!

Two scrambled eggs with a side of sliced oranges, rice cake 
muffins and a cup of hot tea with a little bit of milk.
And of course, catching up on some news (and blogs) on the iPad.
